Whisperado is made up of Jon Sobel on vocals and bass, Patrick Nielsen Hayden on guitar and
vocals, and David Mills on drums. The band is based out of Brooklyn and Queens, and plays (mostly) original music "about demanding women and other funny stuff," rooted in country, folk, rock and blues. According to Time Out New York,  "Whisperado plays straight-up rootsy rock that sounds straight outta Memphis." The band's influences include John Hiatt, John Prine, Richard Thompson, Mary-Chapin Carpenter, and J.J. Cale, just to name a few.
