The Blue Moon Ramblers

The Blue Moon Ramblers come from three corners of New York City and Milwaukee (the sixth borough), as well as from different backgrounds. What they have in common (aside from a deep passion for red velvet cake) is a love of traditional American music--especially, but not limited to, bluegrass. Collectively, the members of the group have been playing this music for a long time.
Propelled by the rhythm section of John Thoreson on bass and Howard Gotfryd on guitar, the Blue Moon Ramblers sparkle, swing, and fly along with multi-genre master Dotty Moore on fiddle, the erudite, honky-tonkin' Charlie Goldman on the banjo, and the esoteric "Edmund Wilson
of bluegrass music," Jerry Hertz, on the mandolin. Expect hair-raisin' harmonies, drivin' rhythms, and hot pickin'.
